Know What Comes Next

Building a home involves decisions about your location, layout, finishes, and investment. At Grandemoore Homes, we help you work through those decisions with clear communication and direct owner involvement.

Here is an overview of our home building process. We will discuss the schedule and details for your project so you understand what to expect along the way.

Start with a Clear Direction

1. Choose Your Plan & Location

We begin with a conversation about the home you want, your budget, and where you would like to build. Whether you already own property or are exploring locations, we will talk through your starting point.

Together, we can review existing floor plans, explore changes to fit your needs, or discuss a custom design. We will also review finish options as we develop your home and lot package.

Helpful to bring: Your preferred location, budget range, timing, and any floor plans or inspiration photos you like.

Explore our floor plans for ideas before we meet.

2. Review Your Home Package

Once you are ready to move forward, we prepare a purchase agreement outlining the terms, pricing, and detailed features of your new home.

We will review the agreement and required deposit with you. Deposit amounts vary by project, and this is the time to ask questions about what is included before signing.

3. Make Your Selections

Your selections help make the home your own. We schedule separate meetings for exterior and interior choices, giving you time to focus on each part of the home.

Our team helps you work through finishes such as flooring and lighting. We will explain when decisions are needed in relation to your construction schedule.

4. Construction Begins

After the contracts are signed and the required building permit is received, we move into construction. This stage includes a site review with the job supervisor.

As your home takes shape, you stay connected to our team and directly involved with an owner. We keep you informed and help you understand the next steps.

5. Walk Through Your Home During Construction

We schedule a walkthrough during the electrical and HVAC rough-in stages. This gives you an opportunity to see your home taking shape and review details with the team.

Bring your questions. This visit helps us review the work against your specifications and discuss details while construction is underway.

6. Get to Know Your Finished Home

Before closing, we schedule a final walkthrough of your completed home. Together, we review the finished spaces and discuss your questions.

We also introduce you to the operation of your home’s systems and the routine maintenance needed to care for your new home.

7. Close on Your New Home

At closing, you sign the documents needed to transfer ownership. It is the final step in making your new Grandemoore home officially yours.

From the first planning conversation to this milestone, our goal is to help you feel informed, involved, and ready for life in your new home.
